How do Blue Ray Players Work?

Blue ray players are electronic devices that can play Blue Ray discs. These discs can store large amounts of information, and can be used for storing high definition films for home entertainment.
Blue Ray players are similar to DVD players in how they function and operate. However, blue ray technology is more powerful, and it is the newer format compared to the old DVD format. DVDs were introduced in 1997 and introduced digital audio and video to homes worldwide, whereas blue ray was only introduced in 2006. Blue ray discs can store up to 27 GB, or gigabytes, of data but DVDs can only store up to 4.7 GB. Due to its higher storage capacity, blue ray discs can play high definition movies that have clearer images and sounds. A typical DVD can only store about 2 hours of a standard definition film. However, a blue ray disc can store 2 hours of high definition film.
