Australian Newspapers All Set for Digital Era

A new report claims that Australian newspapers are all set to take advantage of the growing consumer take-up of digital platforms.
According to the PwC Australian Entertainment & Media Outlook 2011-2015 report, Australian newspapers are ready to generate $317 million in digital ad revenue in 2012.
Now delivered across print, online, and smart phones, Australian newspapers continue to set the daily news agenda.
"This latest report shows a healthy future of the Australian newspaper industry, and newspapers in this country are effectively transforming themselves to take maximum advantage," said CEO of The Newspaper Works, Tony Hale.
People of Australia have earnestly embraced newspapers delivered via digital platforms, and this, joined with Australia's exclusive structural advantages compared with other markets, paves the way for the solid future growth.
